Thanks for the plugins and the 'luv'. I think that more people should be embracing this movement, provided they're not just getting some random spammy comments. It can be a good thing to help others get the same traffic that you're getting, a bit of give and take can help a lot more people get great results for their site.

Just as an addition: That increased Greens supporter base could influence the election either way. It might make a stronger ALP on preferences, but green votes generally tend to cannibalise ALP ones, so the primary voting would be in the LNP's favour.

Given that the 2 most powerful parties polled in each electorate gain the preferences it could be many more Green candidates up against LNP candidates and that might result in more LNP seats being gained.

Well written. We probably have 3 outcomes being 1. Labor Minority Government, 2. Liberal Minority Government, 3. Back to the polls.

Option 1 and 2 are rife with problems because all of a sudden 3-5 people control how the country is run. Also, on top of that, neither party that forms the minority government has a mandate to do anything, except govern until the next election in the hopes of a majority. So I concur that whoever gets the opportunity to take government now, will try and get those quick runs on the board then push for an election ASAP.

That is the reason why both sides are scrambling to obtain that box seat. A minority government might look horrible from first glance, but it does at least give you the incumbent chance of being returned, with a majority, if you can manage to make a handful of good decisions early on.

The 3rd option, of going back to the polls, on the surface seems like a huge waste of time and money. Are you going to change your vote? I won't. But what we have to consider is that many now who vote in that significant Green-base could either expand their supporter base (thereby creating more Greens, a stronger vote, a significantly weaker ALP and a majority ALP government) OR those voting Green could switch directly to ALP voting (the ones who choose to preference ALP) which would in turn create a stronger ALP and get them across the line in many marginal seats which would then give them the majority to govern.

Whichever way we look at it, we are going to be back at the polls soon. Whether thats a few weeks, a few months, or a year down the track we won't know for a couple of weeks yet.

Fair enough, however what of the larger issue in the previous post. What excuse is put forward for services never running to published schedule, if indeed they do arrive at all! The timetables are akin to a service contract, however in the case of the NSW public transport system they are consistently not respected by the authorities that publish them.

Actually the reason why drivers don't open the doors is that they are not permitted to. Let's hope STA management aren't reading this or the driver in question might be disciplined for breaking the rules!

I think you may have solved the down turn in everyone's economy. It would solve so many problems if we reduced our carbon footprint and reduced our exposure to international price fluctuations. Our transportation is horrible in America unless you live in New York city.

Dean, very interesting figures RE: nuclear energy CO2 emissions.

I don't dispute your figures - I am actually a big fan of nuclear energy. However, in Europe and USA, the biggest problem is not the nuclear tech itself, but where to store nuclear waste.
