Following the lives of a dozen Australian soldiers who served in the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during World War I which follows them from the 1915 battle of Galipoli, to the brutal trenches of France during the 1916 Somme battles, the 1917 Arias and Vimy Ridge battles to the final 1918 German offensives and the final victory drive as well as the hardships, mid-adventures and the casualties of friends encounted at each one.

Synopsis
Beyond Borders is an epic tale of the turbulent romance between two star-crossed lovers set against the backdrop of the world’s most dangerous hot spots. Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie stars as Sarah Jordan, an American living in London in 1984. She is married to Henry Bauford son of a wealthy British industrialist, when she encounters Nick Callahan a renegade doctor, whose impassioned plea for help to support his relief efforts in war-torn Africa moves her deeply. As a result, Sarah embarks upon a journey of discovery that leads to danger, heartbreak and romance in the far corners of the world.
Why do I like Angelina Jolie?
Angelina is one of my favourite female actors. She is damn gorgeous but equally talented and versatile, much like my favourite actor Bruce Willis, Jolie can play action or serious very well. In many ways you could argue that she is the first true female action star that is credible. This movie though focuses on Jolie’s dramatic talents with a subject that appears close to he heart, saving the world 1 person at a time.

A film with my favourite actor
Synopsis
Eddie Hawkins, called Hudson Hawk has just been released from ten years of prison and is planning to spend the rest of his life honestly. But then the crazy Mayflower couple blackmail him to steal some of the works of Leonardo da Vinci. If he refuses, they threaten to kill his friend Tommy.
Why do I like Bruce Willis?
Bruce is an action star that does have the ability to transcend the action hero role and do true drama or comedy roles unlike his contemporaries in Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is for this reason that I have chosen a comedy, and not copped out with Die Hard or some such. Whilst this film is not highly rated by many I put it ahead of a number of others that Willis has been in (notably Striking Distance) and regularly play it when my other half is asleep (as she is not a fan of the movie). The idea of singing to time the heist is cute and entertaining, even Andie McDowell does not grate in this movie.
