Injury Whilst Bowling

Tonight we played the team one place ahead of us and within striking distance with 2 weeks left. That said my first game was a complete disaster with a meagre 127 game, 58 below average and cost us the game.

After the first ball of second game my back locked up half way through my action. Excruciating pain immediately was felt. Whilst not quite drawing tears I was doubled over for some time. After regaining some composure I soldiered on and completed my series with a 180 and 207. During the two games the pain did subside to a degree thankfully. I do not understand why it took an injury to get my mojo on the lanes this evening, that said it is a moot point.

Very soon after the completion of the set the cool down has seen the injury flare up and I have had to lay down. I can not get a comfortable position in spite of pain killers. I really hope that resting it for the remainder of the evening sees it come up OK tomorrow as I really need to get some critical work done.

Hope you’re ok now mate, and recouperating.
If you were in that much pain, you may need to take some sick-leave, or Annual-leave.

  2. Yeah, I don’t want to as I have already delayed these tasks last week for a major client. I really do not want to do it again. That said I will not be lifting what I need to if I am in no fit shape.

True true. Nio need to agitate the injury further.

Well I can’t move without doubling over in pain so no work for me. Will have to call to ensure that alternative arrangements are made. Doctors for me.

    :-(

Diagnosis – Muscle or tendon strain.
Treatment – Panadeine Forte, heat, and bed rest for the week.

Look at it this way. At least you have a legitimate excuse to put your feet up and relax a bit.
