[...] Well I thought it is time to give you all an update on how the latest BlackJack Zucchini’s are progressing. As many of you would recall this plant is my nemesis and I at one stage swore not to grow any more. Needless to say I buckled and bought some hardy looking seedlings on 20th January and decided upon Another Attempt. [...]

Hi there! Just stumbled across your blog, saw your My Blooming Lot list and I just couldn't resist sending you an beta invite to our little gardening site called MyFolia (wanted to send this as an email, but couldn't find any other way of contacting you)

You sound like you might really enjoy our site, we are building a (free) site that essentially lets you document and track your plants and gardens whilst linking in with gardeners around the world that are growing the same things you are.

Sorry to sound like a marketing push (we aren't trying to publicise the site yet in any great way) but we are in the really early stages of developing this site and we'd love to hear what you think!

Anyway, if you would like to take a sticky beak, the address is www.myfolia.com. Hope to see you there soon :)

Sorry again for looking like a bit of a blog spammer ;)

Initially I just wanted zucchinis and the Blackjack was the variety I picked after reading it is supposed to be a prolific fruiter and easy to grow. I am happy with the Lebanese Zucchini as an eating fruit now. However, I want to grow the Blackjack simply to say I can if for no other reason. Like I said it is my nemesis plant, my kryptonite if you will.

What is it about blackjack zucchini's that you really want to grow them? Curious minds and all that. I've just picked my first one. Are they nicer than other zucchini's? I don't think my blackjack plants are fruiting as prolifically as the other variety (of which I can't remember it's name).

<em>Lightening's last blog post..<a href='http://www.lighteningonline.com/2008/01/21/oh-my-goodness/'>Oh. My. Goodness….</a></em>
