I only will add that it's a good idea to have a little newsletter, at least in a monthly basis, telling the subscribers the new info that has been added in that span. I discovered your blog through Entrecard during the epic maggot battle. Blogcatalog and Entrecard are a nice pair. There are a lot of the same faces on both, but they complement each other well. I particularly enjoy the forums on Blogcatalog, though I haven't relied too much on the friend/neighborhood structure, though. Through Entrecard I've gotten quite a bit of traffic and I've also found a whole bunch of sites that I read on a regular basis.
